THE BOOKS

These books are a fun look back at Long Beach, CA, in the 1930's.  The city is brought to life through the character's adventures throughout the Southern California area.

WHO DONE IT...TWICE OVER?

Is a 1933 murder mystery. In Long Beach, California, police detective, Jack Mallet, answers an apparent nuisance call from an employee of Radio Station KAB.

He arrives to discover a body, done-in dead twice over.

Mallet’s handful of suspects--a disparate cast of zany radio entertainers--have only two things in common. Each harbors the dark trio of motive, means and opportunity to have done the dastardly deed.

Each amuses, bemuses and frustrates Detective Mallet’s dogged quest to close the case in twenty-four hours.

WHO DONE IT...FOR NOTHING?

The second book centers on Mitzy Raven, who in the authors' first book, WHO DONE IT...TWICE OVER?, assisted Long Beach Detective Jack Mallet in solving his homicide case.

When an elderly, apple-pie-baking lady is murdered, Miss Raven refuses to support Mallet'ss focus on his prime suspect and goes out on her own to prove him wrong by cracking the case.

And proves him wrong in believing women can't be detectives. (So last century thinking!)
